Your Tax Deductible Donations Make FIGMENT Oakland Happen!
FIGMENT Oakland is a free public event run by a staff of passionate volunteers. We’re scrappy, lean, and DIY. We keep our budget low due to generous donations of time, energy, and supplies by our artists, volunteers, and community benefactors. However, there are some budget line items that need to be paid in cash. For these expenses, we rely on financial contributions from individuals like you.
Without these financial contributions, our event simply would not take place. Not without charging ticket sales or taking corporate sponsorships - both of which go against our mission of creating participatory, inclusive, and broadly accessible cultural events. For FIGMENT Oakland 2018 we are looking to raise $5,000 from the community to support our fourth main event and our second summer art class series.
Your donation will go to support such vital line items as event insurance, porta potty rentals, printing and signage, clean up supplies, volunteer shirts, generators and fuel, and of course, supplies for our summer art education series.
In today's economy, a free arts event is more valuable to our culture than ever, and we are so thankful for your help making FIGMENT Oakland happen.
Do you have more enthusiasm and time than cash? Sign up to be a volunteer! We have volunteer slots for pre-event prep, day-of work, and post-event wrap up. And of course, there is always the option of submitting an art project.
